Checkout Behavior in Google Analytics
We deliver Enhanced E-commerce data to Google Analytics by default. You can use this data to build funnels and goals that will help you measure conversion by channel on your site.
The first step on measuring conversion is understanding the Checkout Behavior report. Our funnel is set up using the following data:
- Your cart is created with this URL:
- ?v=Cart
- All three checkout steps are displayed under this single URL:
- ?v=Checkout
- Order Confirmation will be at this URL string:
- ?v=Confirmation
The following page steps are delivered as URLs to Google Analytics:
- Cart
- Checkout/CustomerInfo
- Checkout/ShippingMethod
- Checkout/PaymentMethod
Our default checkout labeling created for Enhanced E-commerce is here:
