Order Actions

Order Actions allow you to manage the full lifecycle of customer orders — from shipping and cancellations to fraud management and tax adjustments.

Each action has specific requirements, permissions, and outcomes that affect both consumers and fulfillers. The summaries below outline when and why you might use each action, with links to detailed step-by-step articles.

Shipping an Order or Part of an Order

Shipping marks items as fulfilled and sends a tracking notification to the consumer. Orders can be shipped all at once or in multiple parts, depending on which items are ready to be fulfilled.

Once items are shipped, the fulfilling business becomes eligible for payment in the next settlement period. You can also add or edit tracking information and print packing slips directly from the order details.

Cancelling an Order or Items

Cancellations may be made before items are shipped. Orders under fraud review or awaiting fulfillment can be canceled directly, while claimed items must first be unclaimed before canceling.

Important: Cancellations should be processed within 1–2 business days of the order being placed.
Delayed cancellations may result in Quivers retaining payment processing fees, even if the order is refunded.

Overriding a Fraud Decline

When an order is flagged as potentially fraudulent by Signifyd, it appears in Quivers as Fraud Detected. Admins can choose to confirm the fraud decision, ignore (override) it, or let the rejection stand.

Overriding allows the order to move forward but transfers all financial liability to your business if a chargeback occurs.

Updating Tax on an Order

If a tax amount is calculated incorrectly after an order has been shipped, admins can reduce (but not increase) the collected tax amount. Quivers will automatically refund the consumer the difference.

This function is useful when correcting over-collected taxes due to updated rates or exemptions.
